A group of 40 physicians and medical students from the Soviet Union arrived this week for a visit in Israel with Taglit Israel Experience and with the support of the Jewish Agency.
David Schechter from the division of Russian speakers from the Jewish Agency said yesterday that the Agency collected special donations in order to create the rich itinerary for the physicians’ visit to Israel. The group of physicians met with Dr Leonid Eidelman, President of the Israeli Medical Association, who made Aliyah to Israel from Latvia and is an inspiration to them. Dr Marina Reines from Latvia excitedly told the “Israel Today” newspaper about their trip that “it is an interesting and very intensive program.”
